Welcome to the Jersey Coast Dental Forum

Welcome to Jersey Coast Dental Forum's eighteenth year of programming. We all have concerns on how to keep an up practice in a down economy. This year, we focus on the changing world of dentistry, in particular, how technology is affecting the way we practice.

This year our curriculum will include approximately 50 hours of ADA CERP and AGD Pace approved Continuing Education Credits. Our goal is to provide you with quality continuing education that will enable all of us to grow as dental professionals. As in all Seattle Study Clubs we strive to provide excellence in patient care through better working relationships and the sharing of knowledge.

This year, we will bring back speakers that our members have requested and also will have incorporated new programming that reflects the future of dentistry. Our Kickoff will be an evening program with Dr. Milton Palat, who uniquely is both a dentist and an attorney. By request, Dr. Palat returns to our Study Club to discuss risk management and legal issues, that as dentists, we hope to minimize. Other returning speakers are the prosthodontists, Dr. Gary Morris and Dr. David Schwab.

Two of the most highly regarded speakers from the Seattle Study Club network are also on the program for the first time. Bill Robbins of the Kois Center will present his most requested lecture, Beyond Smile Design. Another unique team program will be presented by the periodontist Sonia Leziy and the restorative dentist Brahm Miller (The Next Dimension in Aesthetics).

We will have our signature Clinical Treatment Planning Sessions with live patients in October and in February. We urge all members to attend, as this is the hallmark of the Seattle Study Club and the best place to learn in a participating, but non-threatening environment. In addition to this treatment planning session, there will be presentations on the emerging technology of CT Guided Implants and the use of Cad/Cam restorative fabrication.

Enclosed, you will find the dates and descriptions of this year's curriculum. It consists of four full day programs, our signature clinical treatment planning session, as well as evening programs for RDHs, Dental Assistants and Administrative staff programs.

Don't forget these added benefits of study club membership: our fee & benefits survey, the study club DVD library & resource center, the JCDF Advisory Board, SSC quarterly journal and the best part — a chance to trade ideas and share challenges with 40+ colleagues and other study clubs at full day and evening courses or the yearly national Seattle Study Club Symposium in Cancun... a meeting like no other!

As always, we look forward to working and learning with you again this year!
